Six Figure Rideshare Settlement

Rideshares call for passengers to put their trust in drivers they have never met before in the hopes that they will arrive at their destination safely, but unfortunately, that does not always happen.

Our client, a combat veteran, was seriously injured in a collision while driving to work when a rideshare driver made an unprotected left turn in front of him, resulting in a T-bone impact. The crash aggravated our client’s pre-existing neck, back, and knee injuries, necessitating surgery and rendering him unable to perform his job duties.

Our attorneys Jorge Mares and Lance Kimbro were called into action to help this veteran. With the help of their team, they immediately began working to ensure that justice would be delivered. Seven Figure Product Liability Settlement

When our attorneys help our clients, they immerse themselves and fiercely advocate for justice, and for the past four years, Attorney Erin Rogiers has been fighting.

Our client purchased a UTV from a local motorsports store for their family to enjoy together. At the store employees’ suggestion, the standard-issue seatbelt was replaced with a four-point racing harness. No instruction or warning about the harness of any kind was provided. They were driving the UTV, attempted to cross through a stream, and it became stuck in a puddle causing it to sink. Due to its complicated design and lack of any instruction, warning, or training, their ten-year-old son was unable to escape from the racing harness and, unfortunately, drowned.

Seven Figure Auto Accident Settlement

What do you do when the power goes out for traffic lights at an intersection? According to the Texas Transportation Code, the intersection is to revert to a four-way stop meaning that the first car to arrive has the right of way. If two cars arrive at the same time, the car on the left lets the car on the right go first.

Rideshare Auto Accident Settlement

Rideshares are supposed to be a safe alternative to driving. The rider enters the vehicle under the assumption that the driver is not impaired and will drive cautiously, but that does not always happen.

Our client was a backseat passenger in a rideshare vehicle when the driver pulled out from a stop sign into cross traffic causing an accident. The driver was functioning on less than an adequate amount of sleep as there was evidence that he drove until after 2 am the previous shift and began driving again at 7 am that same day up until 6 pm when the crash occurred. On top of the sleep deprivation impairment from the driver, he also failed to ensure that our client was properly belted in before departing which resulted in our client experiencing head and neck injuries from the accident.
