Failure to Yield Trucking Accident Settlement

Drivers across the nation have always been told about the importance of safe driving practices, including practices such as looking both ways, paying attention to your surroundings, etc. When drivers fail to abide by the safe driving practices we have all come to know, the results can be catastrophic.

In this case, a driver of a company tractor-trailer failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic when exiting a private driveway, resulting in a violent collision with our client’s vehicle. The driver of the company vehicle failed to accept responsibility for the crash, and the insurance company attempted to attribute our client’s injuries to factors beyond the fault of their insured driver, such as age and preexisting conditions.

Attorneys Jorge Mares and David Fuentes, along with their team, went toe-to-toe with the insurance company to establish that the sole cause of this crash, and the resulting injuries to our client, was the inattentiveness of the driver of the company vehicle. Jorge and David’s hard work and relentless pursuit of justice resulted in the case settling which provided our client with the compensation he so rightly deserves.

$3,963,927.62 Auto Accident Settlement

Having an attorney who is relentless in their pursuit of justice is invaluable. Recently, attorney Mark Fassold along with attorneys Caleb Rackley and Julie Matsen exhibited why having a formidable legal team fighting for justice can garner incomparable results.

Our client was rear-ended by the defendant’s truck here in Bexar County which resulted in a lumbar spine injury requiring surgery and a traumatic brain injury. The defendant claimed that our client was at fault for the crash and the fact that our client returned to work the day after the crash meant that our legal team had their work cut out for them. Not afraid to put in hard work, our team rolled up their sleeves to fight for our client. In the end, they were able to settle the case for $3,963,927.62.

A settlement of this amount is a direct correlation to how much our team cared about our client. The unmatched effort they displayed during the litigation process ended up being worth it for our client who was able to obtain justice for an accident that was not their fault. We are proud to have these attorneys on our team. Way to go, everyone!

Customer Safety Settlement

Big retailers have many policies in place in order to keep their employees and customers safe, but what happens if those policies are not followed?

In our latest settlement Attorneys Erin Rogiers, Michael Murray, and David Fuentes helped our client when a retailer failed to maintain safe in-store practices, resulting in a hazardous environment causing injury to our client. There is no substitute for hard work and our team immediately rolled up their sleeves and got to work. They poured everything into this case to ensure justice would be delivered.

We are proud of our team for going toe to toe with large corporations and not backing down. The tenacity that our Attorneys had ensured that our client would receive justice and proper compensation for an accident they should not have been in. Great job, team!

Oilfield Accident Settlement

Texas is the top crude oil-producing state in the US as of 2022 with 42.5% of the country’s production. This industry is inherently dangerous and has, on average, well over 100 accidents each year according to the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement.

Our client was assembling an oil rig under the direction of the company’s employees when he tragically fell into an open ‘cellar’ – a hole approximately 10 feet deep under the oil well itself – due to negligent guidance and lack of safety precautions. Despite being a contracted employee, the company who hired him was held liable for our client’s injuries.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The settlement underscores our firm’s relentless pursuit to hold negligent contractors accountable when they fail to ensure a safe working environment. Their negligence in not covering the open cellar, a basic industry practice, led to this unfortunate accident.

Attorney Lance Kimbro and the rest of the team, worked tirelessly to achieve this settlement that provides our client and his family the compensation and closure they rightfully deserve.

Great job team and keep on fighting the good fight!

Trucking Accident Settlement

Neglecting to maintain 18-wheelers and train drivers can have catastrophic results. While traveling up a hill, an 18-wheeler driver lost power to his tractor-trailer. Rather than pulling over, the driver decided to reverse his vehicle down a hill. To make matters worse, the driver backed his trailer in such a way that it blocked the oncoming lane of traffic. Our client was a passenger in another tractor-trailer that crested the hill and could not avoid colliding with the trailer obstructing their lane of travel. The resulting high-impact crash caused our client significant, debilitating injuries.

Through our team’s dedication, it was uncovered that both the tractor and trailer were in violation of safety standards, and the brakes on both were not properly maintained. Additionally, the defendant driver’s employer had not properly trained the driver on emergency maneuvers when power and brakes fail.

Our attorneys Jennifer Neal and Chloe Shrode along with their team ensured these companies were unable to escape their lack of diligence and held them accountable. After turning over every stone for this out-of-state accident that occurred in Georgia, our client received a settlement to aid her with the aftermath of these debilitating injuries. Way to be diligent, team!
