Double Settlements for Attorney Jorge Mares

Failure to Yield Trucking Accident Settlement

Drivers across the nation have always been told about the importance of safe driving practices, including practices such as looking both ways, paying attention to your surroundings, etc. When drivers fail to abide by the safe driving practices we have all come to know, the results can be catastrophic.

In this case, a driver of a company tractor-trailer failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic when exiting a private driveway, resulting in a violent collision with our client’s vehicle. $2 Million Workplace Accident Settlement

While working in a closet, our client stepped on a piece of foam that was covering a hole in the top floor causing him to fall through to the bottom story. The previous crew that was working in the closet had removed an A/C return unit and failed to properly provide a warning about the hole in the floor. In fact, all they did was cover it with that piece of foam which gave off the impression there was not a hole in the floor.

$825,000 Company Vehicle Accident Settlement

$1.55 Million Company Vehicle Auto Accident Settlement

Dashboard cameras are set in place to help hold drivers accountable and encourage safe driving. These technological tools can sometimes be key evidence in a car accident to help determine how an accident occurred and who the at-fault party is.

In this case, a company vehicle was caught failing to yield to the right of way on camera, by another motorist. This traffic violation led to a chain of events that resulted in a violent crash that was fortunately all recorded. The vehicle that had the right of way swerved to avoid hitting the company vehicle and ended up hitting our clients who were waiting innocently at a stop light. Unfortunately, this accident severely injured our client, forcing him to have to undergo several surgeries. However, with the video evidence, our client was given the justice he deserved.
