San Antonio Military Housing Lawsuit JBSA Randolph

Watts Guerra to Represent Local San Antonio Military Families

San Antonio, Texas, also known as Military City, USA, is home to over 300,000 active duty and veterans. Unfortunately, many of these military members, are faced with challenges when they come home each day.

San Antonio Military Housing Lawsuit JBSA Randolph

Poor housing conditions like mold, lead paint, insect and roach infestation, and sewage leaks can be found in many homes on base. When left untreated, like many homes have been in Joint Base San Antonio Randolph Air Force Base, health problems can arise like difficulty breathing, asthma, bronchitis, serious allergic reactions, nosebleeds, and gastrointestinal issues – all listed in the lawsuit.

One of our lead attorneys on the case, Jennifer Neal, has been fighting for our local military members. In her interview with Stars and Stripes, she stated, “There is a common theme here of reporting serious problems that any landlord should know could lead to health problems.”

The article goes on to explain how the companies responsible for maintenance on these properties have complete band-aid fixes rather than proper repairs. Jennifer said, “An overwhelming number of our clients have said, ‘We reported mold, they came in, sprayed bleach on it, painted over it and called it a day.’ That’s simply not how you remediate mold properly. It’s a pattern and practice of the privatized military housing companies.”

Here at Watts Guerra, our attorneys Mikal Watts, Frank Guerra, Alicia O’Neill, Bob Brzezinski, and Jennifer Neal along with Ryan Reed of Pulman, Cappuccio, & Pullen LLP, and Jim Moriarty of the Law Offices of James Moriarty are advocating for those who put their lives on the line for our country each and every day. Our military members should not have to endure unsafe living conditions and the extra stress of worrying about the health of their families at home. We love to help our local community and will continue the fight to ensure healthier futures for them and future military families.
