Katie Quillen graduated cum laude from Baylor Law School (2022), and, before that, magna cum laude from Morehead State University (2019). She was named to the Nation Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 at 26 years old, before finishing her first year of practice.

Before coming back home to Guerra, Katie worked as a law clerk to a federal judge in Waco, Texas. She is licensed to practice in Texas, New Mexico, and the Western District of Texas. She is also the elected director of the McLennan County Young Lawyers Association.While at Baylor Law, she worked as a research assistant for Professor Rory Ryan, and competed on three interscholastic moot court teams. She also worked for Guerra while going through the infamous Baylor Law Practice Court program.
Katie grew up on a small cattle farm in Eastern Kentucky. She moved to Texas in 2019 after she married her husband, Henry. Katie, her husband, and their daughter Portia live in Waco. In her spare time, she spends time with her family and friends, attends church at Christ Church Waco where she teaches children’s catechesis, and serves as an adjunct professor at Baylor Law, where she coaches moot court competition teams.
