Panhandle Wildfire Guerra LLP Attorneys

On February 26, 2024, the Smokehouse Creek Fire erupted in the Texas Panhandle, quickly becoming the largest wildfire in state history. Fueled by extreme wind and dry conditions, the fire tore through over 1 million acres, devastating ranches, homes, and entire communities in its path.

The fire left behind a trail of destruction: families displaced, livestock lost, fencing and equipment destroyed, and generations of ranching operations reduced to ashes. As investigations confirmed, this was no act of nature — utility infrastructure failure played a central role in the fire’s ignition.

At Guerra LLP, we represent ranchers, landowners, homeowners, and business operators whose lives were upended by this historic fire. With decades of experience in wildfire litigation, we’re here to make sure your losses are not ignored — and that those responsible are held accountable.

If you were affected by the Smokehouse Creek Fire, we want to hear your story. We are currently accepting new clients.
